Dalmatian Island To Get Much Improved Access
A German airline company will in a few months begin connecting the father Croatian islands with the mainland by hydroplanes. The flights will cover the islands of Korcula, Hvar, Vis, Lastovo, several of the northern Dalmatian islands and Mali Losinj and Rab.
It is expected there will be two flights per day, providing quick & easy access. What's more the price is expected to be 100 kuna or €15 per person. For the Dalmatian islands near Split, Hvar, Vis, Korcula and Lastovo flights time will be from 10 to 25 minutes. Taking into account the time to board and depart from the aircraft total journey times can be expected to be from around 1 hour.
This is excellent news for Croatian tourists and Croatian property buyers. With journey times so significantly reduced especially to the outer islands of Hvar, Vis, Lastovo and Korčula we can expect more interest in their respective real estate markets. Whilst journey times to these Croatian islands are longer, many clients looking to buy property in Croatia are not discouraged, but for others who are especially in owning property in Croatia to use for a weekend break, journey times are more important. This hydroplane service should make a big difference.
We are in the process of contacting the airline company and will publish more detailed information regarding their service as soon as we have it.
