> Interest In Overseas Property On The Rise Again

The number of searches for international property doubled in November 2009 compared to November 2008 and was up 11% on October 2009, according to a leading UK property portal. The portal has one of the widest selection of international property including many properties for sale in Croatia.

In addition, the portal reported that the volume of searches has almost returned to pre-credit crunch levels, indicating the resurgence of a more positive consumer outlook. Moreover, there has been a sustained period of returning interest in foreign property over the course of this year, with the number of searches increasing for five consecutive months.

The more established markets received the most interest, notably, Spain, France and the USA. Unsurprisingly so, as investors are only now beginning to regain confidence in the markets as the credit squeeze thaws. Whilst emerging market interest is likely to require further improvements in the global financial situation a resurgence in interest is expected soon, not least for property in Croatia, as Croatia accession to the EU completes.
